Final Cut in Venice 2018 SUB-TI and SUB-TI ACCESS

SUB-TI and SUB-TI ACCESS have pledged their support of FINAL CUT IN VENICE at the 75th Mostra dArte Cinematografica di Venezia for the fourth year running.

SUB-TI and SUB-TI ACCESS will once again be amongst the sponsors of the 2018 Final Cut in Venice workshop, organised by the Venice Production Bridge at the Venice Film Festival.

Final Cut in Venice provides assistance in the completion of films from Africa and from Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria; it also offers producers and directors an opportunity to present films still in the production phase to international film professionals and distributors in order to facilitate post-production and promote co-production partnerships and market access.

The workshop consists of 3 days of activities, in which the working copies of the six selected films are screened to producers, buyers, distributors and film festival programmers. This year there will also be a special one-to-one meeting session between the selected projects and the professionals attending the Venice Production Bridge.

The 6th edition of Final Cut in Venice will take place between 1st and 3rd September.

The workshop will be concluded with the awarding of prizes, in kind or in cash, for the financial support of the films in their post-production phase.

The Biennale will be awarding a prize of 5,000 for the best film in post-production. This prize will be attributed by a jury composed of three members named by the Festival Director.

SUB-TI LTD (London) will offer up to 7,000 for the production of the DCP master as well as the addition of Italian or English subtitles to the DCP.

SUB-TI ACCESS SRL (Turin) will offer up to 7,000 for the provision of accessible contents to a film for audiences with sensory disabilities: subtitles for the deaf and hearing impaired and audio description for the blind and visually impaired, with audio subtitles, in either Italian or English.

SUB-TI LTD & SUB-TI ACCESS SRL’s prizes will be awarded by the Festival Director, in conjunction with the project partners, the heads of the institutions, and the service companies providing the awarded prizes.
